Although I’m based in Tunbridge Wells, I get to photograph at varied wedding venues across the county and beyond. September saw me photograph the wedding of Selina and David. The wedding ceremony was at the Archbishops Palace in Maidstone, and then the reception at the amazing Whetsted Farm (a wedding venue in a woodland clearing) in Kent. This combination of venues always leads to loads of great photos, so this blog post will probably be a two or three parter!!
This was the second time I’d photographed this wedding venue combination in 4 weeks, but both weddings were completely different and unique!
Here are some of my favourite wedding photography images from the first part of their day.
No-one who has their wedding in a clearing in the woods, with tree houses, lights in the trees, swings made out of sofas and a bonfire is going to have too conventional a wedding – Selina confirmed this by arriving in a 1950’s/1960’s green ambulance, with psychedelic interior!!!
And then into the larger room at the Archbishops Palace for the ceremony. This little guy was the star of the show for quite a bit of the day – I think I have someone after my job!!
David is a musician so was able to call upon one of his friends to provide some lovely guitar music for parts of the ceremony.
A quick kiss in the doorway, then David and Selina made their way outside to a sea of bubbles as they came down the steps…..
The guests milled around while we did a few group shots, then Selina and David jumped into the ambulance for the short ride to Whetsted Farm…
Please come back for part 2 in a few days – the weather took a turn for the worst which didn’t dampen spirits, but did dampen a few guests…..
If you’re getting married at Whetsted farm and want amazing wedding photography, please contact me to discuss your requirements!
