Westenhanger Castle is a Grade 1 listed house, near Folkestone race course.

A quadrangular manor house, Westenhanger was in it’s heyday in the 14th Century, although its history began in the 11th century when it was owned by King Canute. Westenhanger was regularly visited by Royalty, including Henry ii, Henry viii, Queen Elizabeth i and Charles ii. More recently, since 1996 the Forge family have restored the Castle and it’s now a fantastic romantic wedding venue.

For weddings at Westenhanger Castle, the bride and groom have access to the main wedding house and can use the opulent bedroom and bathroom. Guests have access to the lovely grounds and may explore the outside of the castle (containing a replica of the Discovery – one of three ships that founded the first colonies in the United States).
