Here’s the last part of the wedding photography from Harriet and Michael’s wedding reception held at the amazing Pashley Manor Gardens near Ticehurst in East Sussex.
As the speeches drew to a close, I must admit I breathed a sigh of relief. As is usual at a wedding, we’d run a bit over time and I was really conscious that the gardens would be closed at 6pm. So when we finished at 5:50, I thought we had plenty of time. I took the bride and groom out for some portraits, stopping in a patch of sunlight for some quick shots, then we made our way down to the gate to get into the gardens at 5:55 after ok’ing an overstay with the owners. Unfortunately, due to an oversight, the gate was locked! At this point, I had to take my hat off to Harriet who was a real sport. With some quick improvisation, we gained access to the gardens (which you’ll see in the behind the scenes picture of us leaving the gardens!) and found some lovely spots for bride and groom portraits.
Once safely back in the marquee(!), everyone joined Harriet and Michael on the dance floor for their first dance song as there wasn’t an ‘official’ first dance. Once the party had been in full-swing for a while, I captured my final venue shots and then left everyone to it!
