Here’s the second part of the Tunbridge Wells Hotel du Vin wedding photography from Heather and Tom’s lovely Christmas wedding at Hotel Du Vin, Tunbridge Wells in Kent.
After the ceremony in the beautiful Speyside Glenlivet room, Heather and Tom lead their guests into the Tea Lounge for reception drinks and canapes, where I photographed candidly to capture the story of the day as it unfolded. We then moved onto a few group shots, where the bride and groom braved the cold but sunny December weather. Once we’d completed the group photographs we quickly captured some bride and groom portraits in the lovely late afternoon sunshine before moving indoors for some portraits on the staircases, lit by videolight. I’m sure you’ll agree that Heather looked absolutely stunning – Tom wasn’t too bad either!
I then left the couple to rejoin their guests whilst I photographed the details on the reception room, which had been quickly, skilfully and efficiently turned around by Nicky and the amazing staff at Hotel Du Vin. The Speyside Glenlivet room looks absolutely amazing however its set up – the christmas tree in the corner added some great twinkling lights to the overall effect!
The guests then took their seats before the bride and groom made their entrance into the room. Once the wedding breakfast was served I made my way outside to capture some shots of Hotel Du Vin in the twilight, before retiring to the Tea Lounge for a break!
Part 3 of Heather and Tom’s wedding will feature the speeches, evening guests and candids and some great dancing to a really, really cool funk/soul band!
