Here are some of my favourite images from Gemma and Greg’s Tudor Park Marriott wedding photography.
Gemma and Greg’s wedding service was held at St Helen’s Church in Cliffe – a beautiful large church set in lovely grounds with far-reaching views over the isle of Grain. After the ceremony and photos at the church, the reception was at the Tudor Park Marriott Hotel in Maidstone. The Tudor Park has lovely informal grounds, and a very funky reception area with feature lighting which I’d been looking forward to using for portraits of Gemma later in the evening.
I started the day at St Helen’s on one of the hottest days of 2012 (so hot in fact that by the end of the day, my car’s windscreen couldn’t withstand +28 degrees outside and full air con inside, and cracked!!) where I met the boys briefly before they headed for the shelter of the pub (and a cooling pint or two).
The beautiful brides arrival – Gemma truly looked stunning!
After a few quick group shots, I took the bride and groom around to the sheltered side of the church for some portraits in the shade, before we made our way round for the confetti shot.
After confetti, everyone headed off to the Tudor Park Marriott. Once the bride and groom had grabbed a cooling glass of champagne, we started at the front of the Tudor Park – on my venue visit I’d found a lovely spot in open shade, where the sun was bursting through the foliage – perfect conditions for portraits!
Then the bride and groom rejoined the guests, who were enjoying the lovely sunshine and bubbles, provided by Gemma’s mum!
After the meal, we had some informal speeches then the cutting of the cake.
After the meal, we shot another set of bride and groom portraits – firstly outside in the golden evening sunshine, then with Gemma inside the hotel, making use of the feature lighting in the lovely staircase area. The lighting was supplemented with a little bit of videolight.
And then onto the first dance and party!
A final shot of the happy couple!
