The second wedding of my double-header wedding photography weekend at the end of May saw me undertake Penshurst Place wedding Photography for Tina and Scott’s beautiful wedding at Penshurst Place in Kent. Shooting at Penshurst Place is hard, just because there are so many amazing spots to take amazing wedding photographs in their extensive gardens! I really had to limit myself as time was tight, but I could have kept the guys there for hours (not that I would of course!).
We started the day at SW1 Hair and Beauty in Tunbridge Wells, which again was great for me – a salon closed to the public with loads of space and mirrors made for great photos! Tina finished her bridal preps at The Royal Wells Hotel, Tunbridge Wells in the beautiful bridal suite.
The service and a drinks reception were at Penshurst Place, followed by a meal, speeches and dancing at the High Rocks. Pre-first dance entertainment seems to be the norm for me now – when I test my light setup, something usually happens and this time was no exception! Some of the guests had come all the way from Brazil, and we were treated to an impromptu display of Capoeira, a Brazilian dance/martial arts mix – awesome! Tina and Scott almost had to elbow the boys out of the spotlight to begin the dance, luckily I managed to get some shots as the style of combat involves lots of movement around the floor!
Here are some of my favourites from the day.
If you’re getting married at either Penshurst Place or the High Rocks in Kent, contact me to discuss your requirements!
