Here’s the last part of Stef & Michael’s winter wedding at St Peter & St Paul’s church in Aylesford and Chilston Park.
After the beautiful service at St PEter and St Paul’s, Stef and Michael made their way to Chilston Park Hotel in Lenham for their wedding reception. Although January, the weather was lovely and sunny so we quickly made our way outside for some bride and groom portraits and then inside for some shots on Chilston’s grand staircase, followed by the groups.
All too soon it was time for the receiving line and then for Stef and Michael to make their way into the wedding breakfast. After the meal, it was time for a huge surprise for all the guests. A special announcement was made that, as it was the chef’s last day, he’d like to come out and say some words. To be honest no one was particularly interested, until he broke into song! Stef and Michael had booked singing waiters as a great surprise- the guests loved it! It was a challenge for me as well, as although I knew it was happening, I was in the dark almost as much as the guests – great fun to shoot though!
Everyone then settled down to the speeches – I can’t quite remember why the jumpers came out at the end, I think it was an 80’s reference by Michael’s brother – their mum looked a little embarrassed!
After the cake cut, it was then time for the first dance and party, where everyone started to really let their hair down.
After the final shot of the evening of a misty Chilston, I said my farewells to the lovely bride and groom!
