Here’s my take on the amazing wedding of Meg & Callum last summer – this one had it all – great family moments, a bulldog, a buss ride, surprise video speeches and a saxophonist on the dance floor – what a day!

As usual you can either check out all the images on the slide show below (with music) or read on for my take on the day and a smaller number of the images.

If you’re getting married at Stanmer House or Ditchling Church – or just like what you see, then get in touch to discuss your wedding!

Bride & Groom prep

I started the day down with Meg, bridesmaids, family and little flower girls as makeup was in full swing and the prosecco flowing. We had a slight mishap when one of the flower girls decided to do her own nails(!) but quickly sorted.

Meanwhile, Craig started the day with Callum and the boys for groom prep, documenting them getting ready before heading to the pub opposite the church for a quick drink.

Ceremony

I then joined Callum and the boys at St Margaret’s Church in the beautiful little village of Ditchling in the East Sussex countryside. The guests made their way inside and I waited for the bridesmaids, along with one very eager spectator – Callum and Meg’s bulldog, who was waiting for Meg’s arrival and would come and say Hi after the service!

Once Meg had arrived I made my way inside for the service, including a very cool special bell ringing ceremony for the newly-weds – a nice unique little touch for their day! Callum’s friends had also added a nice little touch – to the soles of his shoes 🙂

After the ceremony

As we came out of the ceremony, Meg & Callum went round to the back of the church for a quick reunion with one very excited chap! After a few quick photos and some groups, it was down through a very impressive confetti shower and into the car to make their way to Stanmer House. Whilst the bride and groom drove, Craig joined the guests on the Routemaster bus for the journey to Stanmer House.

Whilst waiting for the bus, we took the opportunity to grab a few quick portraits with the car on the opposite side of the park before coming round to greet the guests as they arrived at Stanmer.

Reception

While the guests enjoyed the lovely sunshine in the grounds of Stanmer, we quickly photographed the group shots at the front of the house, before documenting candids and the details in the stunning marquee.

All too soon it was time for the guests to make their way in to take their seats, leaving Meg and Callum outside waiting to make their grand entrance. When there’s a bouncy castle there, what’s a couple to do?

Portraits

After the meal I took Callum and Meg out in to the now deserted parkland for some quick couples shots – these two were so good together so it was very easy!

Speeches and Evening

We then made our way back for the truly epic speeches, including a surprise video speech. Safe to say, Callum was quite emotional – which is always great to see!

Soon it was time to cut the cake – including a very brave decision to move it first – and then onto the first dance and party! Things went crazy on the dancefloor, and were then stoked up even further by a Sax player joining the guys on the dancefloor – an amazing end to a fantastic day!

Congratulations once more to Meg and Callum!
