I know I shouldn’t be blogging weddings out of turn, and I’ve got loads to blog at lots of great venues (Leeds Castle, Westenhanger Castle, a few marquee weddings, Tonbridge School, High Rocks, Greenwoods Hotel, Cooling Castle etc. etc.), but I just had to do this one early – I was honoured to be asked to provide the wedding photography for the wedding of my good friends Lintilla and Paul.
Lintilla and Paul were married at St Peter’s church Boughton Monchelsea, where Lintilla’s parents were married. The reception was held at The Old Rectory in Maidstone on a beautiful day in August – although perhaps for some a bit too beautiful..32 degrees during the early afternoon was tricky for everyone, but it also provided lovely evening summer sunshine for all the guests to enjoy!
I joined Lintilla, Louisa, Claire and Noellia for a short bridal preparation photography session. My first task was to photograph Lintilla’s gorgeous dress – ‘My One and Only’ by the amazing Stewart Parvin – a corded lace fishtail dress with a taffeta lovers knot under the bust. It had a sweetheart neckline and Lintilla was wearing it with a short sleeved beaded lace bolero. All three bridesmaids also had bespoke dresses by Stewart, in champagne-coloured silk dupion.
I then made my way to the church and awaited Paul’s arrival.
The bridesmaids and mother of the bride waited for the bride’s arrival…
And then into the beautiful (cool!) church for the service…
After a few minutes of mingling with the guests, I took Lintilla and Paul down to the church wall for some portraits whilst the guests readied themselves for confetti.
Please come back in a day or two for part 2 at The Old Rectory!
