Here’s the second installment of the wedding photography from Harriet and Michael’s wedding at St John The Evengelist, St Leonards-On-Sea, followed by a reception at the amazing Pashley Manor Gardens near Ticehurst in East Sussex.
After the wedding service at St John’s, the happy couple and guests made their way to Pashley Manor for the drinks reception. Harriet & Michael had laid on an amazing range of carefully selected bespoke beers and wines, which the guests enjoyed during a lovely drinks reception. Harriet and Michael wanted the guests to enjoy the gardens (to which they had exclusive access) and the weather, so opted for a nice long drinks reception, which gave us ample time to capture everything without being intrusive. After photographing the setting and details, we joined the guests to photograph candidly, followed by some nice relaxed group shots. Towards the end of the drinks reception, I took Harriet and Michael onto the island for some couples portraits.
Everyone then made their way to the front of the Manor for a big group shot, and then into the marquee to enjoy the wedding breakfast.
After the wedding breakfast the guests enjoyed some amazing speeches (with carefully selected champagne for a toast) from the father of the bride, groom, bride and then best man. I must admit I kept one nervous eye on the time, as Harriet and Michael wanted some further portraits in the grounds of the Manor, which shut to guests at 6 pm. The best man started his speech at quarter to, which didn’t bode well! He finished in the nick of time for us to get some quick portraits in the gardens, or so we thought; but after some enterprising entry skills, we made it for some great portraits – more to follow in the next post!
Come back soon for part 3 of Harriet and Michael’s wedding photography. Before then, please enjoy my favourite wedding photographs from the second part of their day!
