Here is some of the wedding photography from the wedding of Victoria and Charles at Mountains Country House in Kent, where in December I was lucky enough to second shoot for my good friend Neil McClennan.
if you don’t know, second shooting is when you’re not the principal wedding photographer, but aim to get a different viewpoint, and cover things whilst the primary photographer is busy (doing the group shots, for example). We often second shoot for each other when we need two photographers to capture the action at large weddings, or if a photographer is needed at one venue while the other is with the bride (for example).
Second shooting is great as you get to see how another photographer works (always good to see other people’s skills and how they handle the guests) and also get to relax a bit and roam around looking for those story-telling moments which make for such great candid wedding photography images.
Here are some of my favourite images from the day.
The kids seemed really intrigued by the live band – some of them looked almost hypnotized by the horn section…although some of them found them a bit too loud!
