Here’s part one of the wedding photography from Stephanie and Alan’s beautiful Lympne Castle wedding. Lympne Castle is one of my favourite Kent wedding venues – stunning views out to the sea and a fantastic garden make for a beautiful backdrop if the weather’s nice; and we were really lucky to have a fantastic day for it!
I started the day with bridal prep in one of the lovely cottages, where I joined Stephanie and the girls. Some brides can be quite shy and nervous on the morning of their wedding – not Stephanie, she was so relaxed and expressive, a joy to photograph! The lovely sun coming through the french doors also made for some great directional light and stunning bridal prep photographs.
I love having everything in one place, it just makes the photography so much easier (although running down to the main house and back a good few times certainly kept me fit!) so if there was a lull in bridal preps for a minute (or privacy was required) I could nip out to photograph details etc.
Once it was time for the ceremony, I joined Neil Mclennan who was second shooting for me on the day. We waited for the bride’s arrival into the lovely ceremony room. Again, the fantastic sunlight made for some great directional lighting. Add the beautiful Stephanie (Alan was ok as well I suppose!) and the results were stunning!
Come back soon for part 2 – in the meantime, here are my favourites from the first part of their wedding day!
