It’s nice to photograph weddings outside of Kent once in a while – here’s the first part of the Little Park House wedding photography from Clare and Ed’s wedding in Brimpton, Berkshire from back in the summer.
Clare and Ed were married at St Peter’s Church Brimpton, with a reception at the amazing Little Park House. Little Park House is a private house that can be hired on an exclusive-use basis for weddings – the wedding party had a few days staying at the house, enjoying the swimming pool and surroundings before the huge marquee was erected for the wedding breakfast.
Clare and Ed had been recommended by my good friends Julia and Pete; Pete was the best man so I was looking forward to working with them all on the day.
I started the day’s photography at Little Park House by having a quick scout round the impressive marquee/Yurt – quite a feat of engineering and it looked amazing! I then joined the bride, bridesmaids and immediate family for bridal preparations and general prep shots.
Clare looked fantastic in her dress, finished off with a veil that had been passed down the generations in Ed’s family. Each wearer places a picture of them wearing the veil in its storage box – so I was very excited to think than in many years to come, a future bride will look at one of my pictures of Clare looking fantastic on her wedding day!
I then made my way to St Peter’s in the village of Brimpton, to join Neil McLennan who was second shooting for me that day – Neil covered guest arrivals and photographed Ed and the boys at the church. The church in Brimpton was so pictureqsue, with a wild-flower meadow to one side – beautiful!
After documenting Clare’s arrival, we made our way into the church for the lovely service, including some amazing singing from the wedding party, after which we captured the guests congratulating Clare and Ed in the lovely sunshine outside the church.
Clare and Ed stayed with me at the church for some relaxed bride and groom portraits whilst the guests made their way to Little Park House. After a few quick portraits, the bride and groom jumped into Clare’s Dad’s convertible Volvo, and drove themselves (holding on tight to the precious veil!) back to their wedding reception, which will be coming up in part 2!
