Here’s the second part of my work as a Maidens Tower wedding photographer for the wedding of Carmela and Rich’s at Leeds Castle.
After the meal, it was speech time – as always, very moving – a great speech by Carmela’s dad, a touching but funny speech by Rich, and then a great speech by the two best men – including producing a guitar for the groom – I think he promised to sing something later, but never did (a lucky escape for him I think!).
Once the speeches were done, I took the couple out into the lovely summer evening sunshine for a quick photoshoot around the grounds of Leeds Castle (which by then had closed to the public, so we had it all to ourselves). I added some off-camera flash to provide a bit more drama.
And then onto the first dance. I must admit, I didn’t really understand the order we were doing things in – first dance, then bouquet throw – little did I know what was in store for us all….so onto the first dance….
And then when certain a certain song came up (can’t remember what this one was in the mayhem!), we had the groom retrieving the garter and tossing it to the boys…
And then, to ‘All the single ladies’ by Beyonce, the bouquet toss…
A quick bit of break dancing, then it was time for me to get my final setup shots of Leeds Castle, beautifully lit up at night.
Congratulations to Carmela and Rich – one of my favourite venues (and couples!) of the year!
