Leeds Castle is one of the premier castles in England, located 5 miles outside Maidstone in Kent. Built originally in 1119, The castle stands on an island in the moat created from the river Len. A favourite residence of King Edward 1st in the 13th century, in more recent times the last private owner of the castle was Lady Baillie, who redecorated and remodelled the castle interior in the 1920’s. Upon her death, the castle was left to the Leeds Castle Foundation, a charitable trust, who opened the castle to the public in 1976.

For Leeds Castle weddings, larger parties can be accommodated in the main part of the castle, whilst smaller, more intimate weddings are hosted in the Maidens Tower.

It goes without saying that the grounds of Leeds Castle make for stunning wedding photography. Once the gates have closed to the public, you’ll have the views all to yourself!
