Here’s part 2 of my work as a kent wedding photographer for Yvonne and Paul’s wedding at St Mary’s Platt Church and Hotel du Vin, Tunbridge Wells.
After the church service, Yvonne and Paul made their way to Hotel du Vin to enjoy their drinks reception on the back lawn in the glorious sunshine. As a few guests were delayed in the infamous Tunbridge Wells traffic, we had plenty of time to capture candids, and with loads of kids in attendance there were some great moments to be had. Once the group shots were done, I quickly made my way inside to photograph the reception room details, before Yvonne and Paul greeted their guests into the room with a receiving line. Once everyone was seated, they made their own grand entrance into the room.
During the downtime in the meal, I made a point of photographing Yvonne’s bouquet again, as she’d attached a locket with a photo of her sister, who sadly wasn’t around to share their special day – a lovely, touching tribute.
In a suitable gap in proceedings, I took Yvonne and Paul back outside for some couple’s shots. Someone wasn’t too happy at being left out though, and started to sneak into shot, so we did a few impromptu family shots and then went back into Hotel du Vin to find a few more spots for bride and groom portraits.
