Here’s part 2 of Becky and Nick’s kent wedding photography from their wedding at the lovely Cooling Castle Barn back in November (bonfire day to be exact!).
After the ceremony, the bride and groom made the traditional Cooling Castle Barn wedding exit into the reception barn, whilst the guests made their way into the bar for a drink. Becky and Nick then went for a short drive in their wedding car whilst we photographed the guests. On their return, we photographed in front of the Castle keep (a must at Cooling) and then captured some portraits in the lovely autumn sunshine. I took the bride and groom back into the main barn to photograph using videolight to make the most of the lovely twinkling lights adorning the beams at Cooling Castle.
Once we’d finished photographing the bride and groom portraits, the couple made their way through confetti out onto the lawn at Cooling to greet their guests, followed by the group shots. Becky and Nick then made their entrance into the stunning main barn for the wedding breakfast. Before the food was served, we had two speeches – a touching groom’s speech and a really funny speech by the two best men, including slideshow presentation and the famous captain’s hat!
After the meal, the guests enjoyed the sweet table and also signed the commemorative cake stand that Becky was going to have glazed after the wedding – a great touch and a change from a traditional signing book.
It was then time for the first dance and party – some great dancing action, then I made my exit via the balcony for a wide shot of the dancing, and then out for a few final shots of Cooling. Annoyingly, I could hear fireworks going off but they were all behind me, not the castle – that would have made for a spectacular shot (and a free one as well!) but the logistics just didn’t happen – shame!
Congratulations to Becky and Nick once again! Here are my favourites from the second part of their day.
