Hi – I’m David, a professional documentary Kent wedding photographer based in Tunbridge Wells.

I fell in love with photography years before weddings entered the picture – growing up surrounded by the dramatic landscapes of the Brecon Beacons near Cardiff taught me early on to notice texture, light and real emotion. What started with black and white landscape photography gave me a foundation in composition and storytelling that I still bring to every wedding I shoot.

Weddings are wonderful for the same reason – real life unfolding. I’m drawn to the moments you don’t see coming: laughter between friends, a parent’s proud glance, tiny details that are gone in the blink of an eye. My aim is always to document your day honestly, unobtrusively and beautifully, so you can relive the story exactly as it happened, not a version of it.

One moment that really sticks with me is photographing a bride putting on a veil that had been in her family for generations. After the wedding she told me that each bride places a photo of themselves in the veil back into the box for the next bride to see. Moments like that – real, personal, timeless – are exactly why I do this work.

Over the years I’ve worked in venues across Kent, the South East and beyond, always with the same relaxed, candid approach. I’ll quietly document your day from getting ready right through to the party, letting the story unfold while still capturing the moments you’ll treasure for years to come.
