Early August saw me photograph the wedding of Jess & Daniel at St Peter and St Paul’s church Tonbridge, with a lovely relaxed reception at St John’s Yard, Tunbridge Wells . The church is set just off Tonbridge High Street down a very quiet lane and surrounded by beautiful grounds.
Jess got ready at her mum’s house with all the usual hussle and bussle of bridal preparations in a full house – this allowed me to get some great candid shots while everyone was caught up in the moment. Jess & Dan’s two girls were in attendance watching their mum getting ready; personally, I love weddings where the couple already have children and they’re old enough to realise what’s going on – their excitement for the day just makes for awesome photographs!
Jess looked stunning in her dress and cathedral length veil (I do like a nice veil, as I’m sure most wedding photographers would say!) and a quick bit of top shade made her stunning blue eyes really sing!
A quick drive through the back streets of Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge (avoiding the ubiquitous Southborough Saturday traffic jam!) and I was with Dan and the guys at the church for some quick relaxed candids – until Dan’s daughter’s turned up – they were so happy to see Dad though, as I’m sure you can see from the photos!
Jess made it into the church just in time as the heavens opened during the service, but then luckily the weather cleared for their recessional, some quick groups and then some couple shots in the grounds of the church using the great architecture of this beautiful old building!
