Here’s the last part of the Tonbridge School Wedding Photography for Jackie and Ben’s wedding at Tonbridge School.
Jackie and Ben were married in the impressive St Augustine’s Chapel in the grounds of Tonbridge School (as a Kent Wedding Photographer, my favourite church location!). After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed a drinks reception in the Orchard Centre. After groups (inside the Chapel due to the high wind – Jackie’s cathedral length veil was in danger of becoming airborn), candids and some shots of the couple in front of the Chapel, Jackie and Ben made their way into the wedding breakfast, then enjoyed their meal. After the meal, whilst the guests were finishing off eating but the couple had finished their food, I took Jackie and Ben out into the twilight to take some further portraits using off-camera flash and videolight. I find this a great time to go out – it’s a bit of down-time for the couple, the guests are all still in one place (so we can have a bit of privacy) and the light is much more dramatic – also, on a hot day, it’s nice and cool by this sort of time.
After the speeches, the guests all moved over into the older part of Tonbridge school for the first dance and party!
